What is Mr. Freeman's impact on Melinda inside and outside of class? What did he mean when he said, "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time."

Mr. Freeman is the only one of Melinda's teachers that she can connect with in and out of school. When he said "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time." I thought it meant that when people don't be themselves they forget who they used to be.
Outside class he's helping her to realize what it is inside of her that is eating her alive. Inside class, she's learning how to show herself in art. He means that if you just box yourself up and don't let what truly makes you out, you will start losing yourself. Starting with the thing that you are trying to hide, that thing might be what will soon destroy you. By blocking it out it will block out the things that you don't want to lose. Then it will be gone.
I think that Mr. Freeman understands Melinda because he can really connect with her. He also is discovering that there is something wrong, and there was an incident that happened with her. I think Mr. Freeman means that if you don't express yourself you will die one piece at a time, because your not sharing what you feel and it could damage you from the inside out.
Mr. Freeman's impact on Melinda is that she actually talks to him. When she's around him she has more to say and she actually says it. When he says, "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time." I think he means that he knows Melinda isn't fully expressing herself and that he thinks she should.
His impact is that Melinda will think about what will happen when she is going to skip class, he means that when you dont speak then you will not be heard or that you will die one peice at a time because you are not being heard and will not be able to share your ideas if you do not speak. So all you have to do is speak to be heard and not ignored
Cause Mr. Freeman is the only teacher that she can be with in and out of the school and when he said that "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time" i thought that meant that if you try to be someone you are not you can forget what you are and who you are or what you are
Melinda can connect with her art teacher Mr. Freeman inside and out of class. Inside of class she's learning how to express herself in her artwork and outside of class he's helping her to express herself through talking about what's wrong with her. When he said " When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time." He means by keeping everything in, it can only get worse emotionally and physically and she needs to talk to someone about it. Mr. Freeman sees this in Melinda.
I agree with Andrea and Josh. They both can connect with each other in and out of school, because they both have certain similarities. When Mr. Freeman said "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time," he means that if your art doesn't pop out or look great, it will bring everyone around you down.
When Mr. Freeman said "when people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time." I think that means if your not yourself you forget who you really are. Mr. freeman is helping Melinda by helping her realize what is bothering her on the inside.
Mr. Freeman is the only one of Melinda's teachers that she trusts. She can really connect with him and speaks to him more than anyone else. When he says, "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time," I think he means that keeping what happened inside doesn't help her and he sees that Melinda does not speak as much as she should and wants to help her.
I think that Mr.Freeman inspires her inside and outside of school. I also agree with Josh, that Mr.Freeman is the only teacher that Melinda can really connect with. I think that "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time." Means that when you don't let things out and express your feelings, because if you don't, keeping it inside of you will make it worse.
I think that Mr. Freeman is having a big impact on Melinda. He's really the only teacher she can connect with. Then when he said, "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time." I think he meant if you dont express yourself you will not be heard and will be destorying yourself from the inside and out.
I think he is a big impact on Melinda's life because Mr. Freeman is trying to reach to her and he is being nice to her. He is trying to get her to trust him. He wants her to talk to him because he knows something is wrong. That is why he said "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time" so that she might open up and not self destruct one piece at a time.
Melinda can only connect with Mr.Freeman out of all the teachers. She feels that she can express her self in and out of shcool with him. When Mr. Freeman said thought it meant when people dont want to be themselves the will forget slowly who they used to be.
Mr. Freeman is more of a mentor then a teacher, and more of a friend. He is there for Melinda and can help her through hard times. When Mr.Freeman says "When people don't express themselves, they die one piece at a time." He is explaining that People need to express their feelings, they just can't hold it all in. Every day people just operates in every day life. People need to express their life and feel accomplished. People do what their told and don't think for themselves. They're dying in their souls. You need to feel alive in both worlds and be alive in both worlds.
Mr. Freeman's impact on Melinda is very good. he is helping her figure out what to do and how to let out whatever is bothering her. he is showing her how to express herself through art. Mr. Freeman meant that people keep things bottles up inside and never let them out and it is slowly hurting them and bothering them inside and they can't get rid of it unless they tell some one.
i agree with josh that mr. freeman is the only teacher of melinda's that she can relate to and can connect with. i think this means that if you dont come clean with yourself and keep yourself together and let out what you feel and what you want to say, then you will eventually fall apart and become crazy.
Mr. freeman is the only person parent, teacher, or student that she can connect to. What he means is let out your feelings because of you keep them in you will keep changing and you wont be happy with yourself.
